About Me
“The objective for all MCA projects is to provide a creative, practical, and cost-effective design solution”
Mike Cox began his working life as an engineer and continued to do so for 13 years until the mid-1980’s, when the collapse of the engineering industry led him to retrain into a more creative career.
After graduating in 1991, Mike started his freelance design career at Eureka! The Museum for Children in Halifax. He continued as a freelancer, and worked with many UK design companies, forging a close relationship with the Yorkshire Museums Council. Mike then went on to form Michael Cox Associates in 1999.
With over 25 years of design experience to draw on, and a background in engineering, Mike has a unique combination of skills with which to bring your project together. During the design process, it is important to create an excellent working relationship with the client team, to fully understand their requirements, aims and objectives.
I don’t believe in style over substance, which means I will deliver full design solutions to any problems. The objective of all our projects is to provide a creative, practical and cost-effective design solution.
